I used the Ricky Tim piped binding method again, and this time all the corners turned out better. They are far from the way his look, but I think they are as good as my miters using other methods. I still find I am not staying right in the ditch all the time, but again, it is much better than previous attempts at machine stitching the binding! I wander into the pipping, but because the thread color matches the piping, it isn't too visible.

I think it looks great! We are all much too critical of our own work. I love that way of quilting borders - I've done three quilts that way in the past. Simple, but very striking.
It looks very good and I need to look into that method of binding. The corners look perfect to me. I love the piping. It adds a wonderful touch. I'm terrible at names so sorry, no help there.
Congratulations on finishing it - I really like your piped binding.
Beautiful design, beautiful execution. I think the binding looks perfect. Any recipient should be thrilled.
It's absolutely wonderful! Don't worry about the quilting lines being not perfectly parallel, handwork should show a little of the hand in it, you don't want it to look like a computer stitched it.
If I get any inspiration regarding a name, I'll be sure to let you know.
Congradulations! Great looking mitered corner! I usually have three pretty good corners and one I struggle over....
Nice, I plan on doing that quilt too - only using Judy Martin's version... (I think she has the solid square on top...)
you've done a beautiful job on it...congrats!!!
