Happy Chinese New Year!

It is a big time for celebrations here. Last night we had fireworks, and there will be more fireworks and firecrackers for the next 3 days. Here are some pictures from last night.

I love fireworks! Great photos! What are the two structures to the left in your pictures, the tall C.N. Tower looking one, and the lit arched one? You live in a beautiful spot, I'd love to know more.

In addition to the fireworks at Chinese New Year and at Christmas and New Years, we actually have a firework festival that lasts about 6 weeks in the fall. It's great! The arched structure on the left is part of a bridge between the main penninsula and one of the islands. I hope to make a quilt of it one day. The tall tower is the Macau Tower. It is a copy of one in New Zealand, designed by a New Zealand architect. It has glass floors at one of the highest levels. That is an experience!

What great photos--the fireworks are beautiful, and it's interesting to see such a far-away place/
